The futures odds on the Super Bowl LIV in 2020 are on the move. And it won’t be difficult to guess who the favorites were on Wednesday.
Of course, you have it. After winning the Super Bowl for the 6th time on Sunday it just had to be the New England Patriots.
And this is especially so in view of the fact that their ultra-successful Brady-Belichick quarterback-coach combo will be back next year. The two football maestros have both confirmed it.
However, what you might not have guessed is that the Patriots are not the sole favorites. Alongside them at +750 in our sample of New Jersey’s sportsbooks odds on Wednesday was the Kansas City Chiefs.
This almost certainly because of the Patriots close-fought battle with the Chiefs in this year’s AFC final. The New England team was only able to edge clear by a point or two late in the game.
In view of reports that the Chiefs are expected to lose a host of their quality players in free agency, however, it is something of a surprise.
Immediately behind the two favorites, New Jersey sports bookmakers FanDuel, the State’s sports betting market leader, and 888Sport had the Los Angeles RMS and the New Orleans Saints as their next best favorites to triumph in Super Bowl LIV.
The Rams beat the Saints in the NFC final but were defeated 13-3 in Sunday’s dour Super Bowl final.
Meanwhile, FanDuel had the Rams at +900 and the Saints at +850. 888Sport had both teams at +900.
