Week 15 of the NFL season is rather spread out, with three games on Saturday, ten on Sunday, and one on Monday. The weekend has playoff implications, with only three teams officially eliminated and two have clinched. San Francisco joined Philadelphia in the NFC playoffs with Thursday’s win, and multiple teams can clinch this weekend, including Dallas, Minnesota, Buffalo, and Kansas City.
Let’s take a look at a few of the players to bet on to find the end zone and help their teams win this weekend.
Davante Adams is among the NFL leaders in touchdowns scored with 12. He has found the end zone in four of the last six games and had more than one touchdown in three of those contests. Adams and the Raiders take on the Patriots this weekend and must win to stay in the AFC playoff race, as they are two games behind New England.
The Patriots are very tough to run on, so it will be hard sledding for Josh Jacobs and the Raiders’ run game. Adams has been able to produce against any defense this season, with at least 70 yards in each of the last six games.
Emotions will be high in this game, as well as Josh McDaniels takes on his mentor in Bill Belichick. Look for the Raiders to get the ball to Adams early and often to set the tone, and he can break a long one for a TD or be the red zone target. Either way, Adams to score at -130 is a great bet for the weekend.
Jamal Williams -110
The Detroit Lions have won five of their last six games, and a win over the Minnesota Vikings last week put them in the thick of the NFC playoff race. Quarterback Jared Goff has been playing much better during this stretch but may find life difficult outside in bad weather this week against the Jets. He also has to face Defensive Rookie of the Year contender Sauce Gardner.
One way to beat that is to run the ball and control the clock. Jamal Williams leads the NFL with 14 rushing touchdowns on the season, and he is -110 to score this week against the Jets. He didn’t score last week against the Vikings but scored six times on the ground in the previous four weeks.
If the Lions are able to keep their momentum going, they will use Williams and DeAndre Swift to control the clock. Williams is the red zone runner for Detroit and most likely to find the end zone.
Ja’Marr Chase +100
Ja’Marr Chase returned to the end zone last week against the Browns. This week the Bengals face the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who gave up 35 points and two passing touchdowns to San Francisco last week.
Chase had ten receptions on 15 targets last week, and in his two games since coming back from injury, he has 23 targets, 17 receptions, 216 yards, and one touchdown. He picked up right where he left off with Joe Burrow, and now the Bengals are tied for first in the AFC North.
This game isn’t likely to be a shootout like the Bengals had with Kansas City two weeks ago. But the Bengals can make a statement with a win in Tampa, and to do that, they need Chase to find the end zone. At +100, he is great value to do just that.
J.K. Dobbins +190
J.K. Dobbins returned to the lineup last week for Baltimore and led the way in a 16-14 win over Pittsburgh. He will find the running lanes even wider this week against a struggling Cleveland defense. With Lamar Jackson sidelined, Dobbins will again be the focus of the Ravens’ attack.
Last week Dobbins got 120 yards on 15 carries and scored his second touchdown of the season. Baltimore ran all over Cleveland for 160 yards in the first matchup this season, a 23-20 Ravens win. Gus Edwards had two rushing touchdowns in that win, and those chances will go to Dobbins this time around.
At +190 to score a touchdown, Dobbins is great value as he should get at least 20 touches in the game and can score from anywhere on the field.
