TOM BRADY’S ROUGH START IN TAMPA BAY

TOM BRADY'S ROUGH START IN TAMPA BAY
Sports headlines have mentioned plenty of Tom Brady as of late. From deciding to leave the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, having Rob Gronkowski join him, and the recently scheduled golf tournament he will be involved in. But TB12 has also had an interesting start to living in Florida.

Living in a new city doesn’t come without some mistakes, even for one of the greatest football players of all time. On April 7, Brady planned a trip to see the Buccaneers offensive coordinator Bryon Leftwich. Unfortunately for Brady, Leftwich lives next door to a house that looks similar to his.

Without knocking, Brady entered the wrong house. Add accidental trespassing to his first couple weeks in Tampa Bay. Luckily, the homeowner wasn’t too upset about the future Hall of Famer walking into his house.

The homeowner, David Kramer, spoke with TMZ.

“I literally was just sitting here, and I watch this tall guy just walk into my house,” Kramer said. “He didn’t even look at me. He just like dropped his duffel bags down on the floor and just kind of like looked up at me, and I’ll never forget the look on his face.

“He just goes, ‘Am I in the wrong house?!’

“He was like, ‘I am so sorry! I am so sorry!'” Kramer said. “Grabs his bags and just is gone. I don’t think I’ve seen someone leave a house faster!”

At The Park

This was not the only incident that Tom Brady has had in his new home of Tampa Bay. The other came in one of the city parks that is now closed due to the coronavirus.

A park representative saw Tom Brady in a closed park and had to ask him to leave. This came to light on a Facebook live session between the Mayor of Tampa Bay Jane Castor and St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman.

Jane Castor said, “You know our parks are closed down and so a lot of our parks staff, they patrol around just to make sure people aren’t doing contact sports and things and saw an individual working out in one of our downtown parks. And, she went over to tell him that it was closed, and it was Tom Brady.”

Mayor Castor went on to say, “He has been sighted,” which led people to believe she might’ve said “cited.” But it was confirmed that Brady was just asked to leave the park and did not have to pay a fine.

The city of Tampa Bay sent out a tweet: “Sorry Tom Brady Our @tampaparksrec team can’t wait to welcome you and our entire community back with even bigger smiles — until then, stay safe and stay home as much as you can to help flatten the curve.”

Having Fun With It

Brady has had a sense of humor about these situations. After all, he is staying in a luxurious home owned by Derek Jeter. He sent out a tweet linking the article on TMZ.

“Trespassing in parks, breaking and entering…Just making myself at home in Tompa Bay.”
