— Monday, November 22nd New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 11 of the NFL season comes to an end Monday night as the 6-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the 3-6 New York Giants. When Tom Brady was in New England, the Giants were his kryptonite, especially in the Super Bowl, and now he faces a team coming off the bye. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, and the game will air on ESPN.
The Giants lead the all-time series 16-8 and have won seven of the last nine. However, the Bucs won last November with a 25-23 road win on November 2. Brady threw for 279 yards and two scores in that contest as Tampa Bay missed a two-point conversion to tie with 28 seconds to play.
Giants Healthy, Rested
The Giants appear to finally be healthy as they come off their bye week, and they have won two of the last three games. Running back Saquon Barkley should be back for his first game since October 10, when he left after two carries in Dallas.
Quarterback Daniel Jones was efficient in the last game, going 15-for-20 passing in the win over the Raiders. On the season, he has completed 65 percent of his passes but has just eight touchdown passes to five interceptions. Jones has also rushed for 258 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
With Barkley out, Devontae Booker ran for 99 yards against the Raiders and leads the team with 315 yards on the season and two touchdowns. Barkley has 195 yards in four games and has scored two touchdowns as well.
Rookie Kadarius Toney has played in eight of the nine games and has 28 catches for 352 yards but has yet to find the end zone. Sterling Shepard missed four games and has 32 catches for 324 yards and one touchdown. Kenny Golladay has missed three games while tight end Evan Engram has missed two, and the veterans have combined for 45 catches and two touchdowns.
Buccaneers Suddenly Struggling
The Buccaneers are just 3-6 against the spread this season, and the over is 5-4 in their nine games. They are 4-0 at home on the season, and the offense leads the NFL in scoring at 31 points per game. They haven’t played at home since October 24 and lost their last two games, at New Orleans and at Washington.
Brady has thrown for 2,870 yards on the season with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions. In the last two games, he has four interceptions, but on the season at home, he has 18 touchdowns with just two interceptions.
Running back Leonard Fournette leads the Buccaneers with 486 yards and four touchdowns on the season. He’s added 38 receptions for 284 yards and has over 700 total yards this season. Ronald Jones II has rushed for 194 yards and one score.
Antonio Brown will miss another game, his fifth, but Brady has plenty of weapons. Chris Godwin leads the team with 57 catches and 717 yards while adding four touchdowns. Mike Evans has a team-leading nine touchdowns width 41 catches for 606 yards, while Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard have both caught touchdowns in place of injured Rob Gronkowski.
Betting Analysis
- New York Giants +10.5 (-110). Money line +440
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers -10.5 (-110). Money Line -590
- Total Points: 49.5. Over -115. Under -105
Tampa Bay has been a different team at home with at least 31 points in all four games, and twice they have gone over 45. The Giants may struggle to keep up as they haven’t gone over 30 points in a game yet this season. However, if they can keep it close early, the backdoor cover is there for the taking.
