As we get into November, some of the better teams and organizations find a way to separate themselves from the pack. The NFL season will only get more intense as these teams battle for a place in the Super Bowl.
Let’s take a look at the Top 5 teams in the NFL Power Rankings.
#5: Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are struggling a little more this year than last. Lamar Jackson is still explosive, but this hasn’t been the MVP season he had last year. They are in a tough division, having to battle the Steelers, who they lost to last week, along with the better-than-expected Cleveland Browns and the noticeably improved Cincinnati Bengals.
The running back position also looks a bit different than it did last season. Mark Ingram hasn’t been a significant factor, currently sidelined with an ankle injury. But rookie running back J.K. Dobbins has emerged as a great option, splitting time with Gus Edwards. The Ravens lead the NFL in rushing yards.
#4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers have been a hot topic since the start of the season, all of that having to do with Tom Brady’s first year out of New England. And it appears that Belichick is missing him.
Tampa Bay is 6-2 and appears to be getting better with every game. Not only do they have Tom Brady and a great offense, but their defense is one of the best in the league. Next week, they will have a new weapon in Antonio Brown, and tight end Rob Gronkowski seems to have found his game.
#3 Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks possibly have the MVP frontrunner in Russell Wilson. He is having a great season, and Seattle only has one loss.
DK Metcalf has been one of the biggest stories of the first half of the season. He is one of the most explosive and fast receivers in the league, and he has a more than capable quarterback to get him the ball.
#2 Kansas City Chiefs
The reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs have the advantage of having Patrick Mahomes, who could quite possibly win another MVP.
This team is very similar to the one that won the Super Bowl just a year ago. Andy Reid is a top coach and has a great chance of leading this team to another ring.
The addition of Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been huge for this team. If that wasn’t enough, Kansas City just picked up Le’Veon Bell from the New York Jets.
#1 Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are the lone undefeated team in the NFL. Their 7-0 mark ties a franchise best.
Pittsburgh’s wins these past two weeks have been their best yet. They beat an at-the-time undefeated Titans, and followed that with a win against their division foe in the Ravens.
A lot of the success is due to Ben Roethlisberger. After missing last season, he has returned as if he never left. He has thrown 15 touchdown passes and only four interceptions. Roethlisberger is also enjoying a new target, Chase Claypool, a rookie out of Notre Dame.
