The Los Angeles Rams have a forecast 56% chance to win against The San Francisco 49ers with a spread of -1.0/1.0 and an over/under of 48.5. The Los Angeles Rams are 0 – 0 against The San Francisco 49ers in the 2021-22 Season.

Monday, November 15th Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers

Two teams trending in opposite directions face off to finish Week 10 of the NFL season on Monday night. The NFC West battle features the 7-2 Los Angeles Rams traveling north to face the 3-5 San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and the game will air on ESPN.

These longtime rivals have met 143 times, with the Niners leading 73-67-3. San Francisco has sweeps in each of the last two seasons and bring a four-game winning streak over the Rams into Monday’s tilt. The Rams are 2-4 at Levi’s Stadium and 3-7 overall in their last ten against San Francisco.

Stafford, Rams Look to Bounce Back

The Rams keep going all-in, first acquiring All-Pro linebacker Von Miller at the trade deadline and then signing wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. this week. Miller is expected to make his Rams debut Monday night though it is not yet known what OBJ’s role will be. There’s a spot open in the offense for him after the Rams lost starting wide receiver Robert Woods to a knee injury this week.

Until last week, quarterback Matthew Stafford was enjoying a resurgence in Los Angeles. Monday night, he looks to bounce back from a game where he was sacked five times and picked off twice by Tennessee, with one of those going back for a touchdown. On the season, he leads the NFL with 2,771 yards, ranks second with 23 touchdowns, and has completed a career-high 68 percent of his passes.

Stafford has shown amazing chemistry with Cooper Kupp, who has 74 catches for 1,019 yards and ten touchdowns on the season. The Rams will have to replace Woods, who had four scores and 556 yards, but they have young Van Jefferson (27 rec, 433 yd, 3 TD) and Beckham to take that spot. Tight end Tyler Higbee has 35 catches for 324 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

Niners Still Searching for Identity

The San Francisco offense ranks 13th in the NFL in passing, 14th in rushing, and 18th in scoring. The defense will challenge the Rams passing game as they rank fourth in the league against the pass. However, they are 26th against the run and 25th in scoring defense on the season.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has thrown for 300 yards in consecutive games for the first time in four years. The Niners won the game in Chicago but lost at home to the Cardinals in those contests. In seven games this season, he has completed 65 percent of his passes for 1,754 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions.

Garoppolo will likely be under pressure in this game against the fearsome Rams pass rush, especially without RT Mike McGlinchey. San Francisco has had a run-game by the committee, and Elijah Mitchell leads the team with 469 yards, three touchdowns, and a 5.3 average. Trey Sermon has 135 yards and one touchdown, while no other running back has more than 50 yards.

Wideout Deebo Samuel is having a breakout season with 49 catches for 882 yards and four touchdowns. Tight end George Kittle returned last week and immediately found the end zone for the first time this season. He has 25 catches for 328 yards, while Brandon Aiyuk has 19 catches for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

Betting Analysis

  • Los Angeles Rams -3.5 (-105). Money LIne -180
  • San Francisco 49ers +3.5 (-115). Money Line +155
  • Total Points: 50 Over -110, Under -110

The Rams are fifth in the NFL in scoring, and San Francisco may have trouble keeping up if they can’t pressure Stafford like the Titans did last Sunday night.

It’s not easy to run the ball on the Rams, and San Francisco had just 39 rushing yards last week, and they are -9 in the turnover battle this season. If the Rams get going early, this one will get out of hand.

Betting Pick: Rams -3.5 (-105)
