DALLAS COWBOYS AT MINNESOTA VIKINGS BETTING PREVIEW

DALLAS COWBOYS AT MINNESOTA VIKINGS BETTING PREVIEW

The Dallas Cowboys meet the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday night in a battle of foes looking to make the playoffs. The Cowboys bring their high-powered offense to Minnesota in a game that will pit strength against strength.

The Cowboys lean on their offense while the Vikings lean on their defense to win football games. The Cowboys have won five games in a row after losing their opening contest. The Vikings have beaten their last two opponents, and both of these teams are coming off of a bye.

Look for this game to be a very close contest throughout, especially if the Cowboys are without their quarterback.

Will Dak Prescott be Available for the Cowboys?

Prescott was banged up two weeks ago and is now questionable for the primetime game against the Packers. Whether or not Prescott plays could be the difference in a Cowboys win or not.

Prescott has led the Cowboys to 470.2 yards per game and has also led them to score 34.2 points a game. In what looks to be an award-grabbing campaign, Prescott is 158-of-216 for 1,813 yards so far this season.

He has also thrown 16 touchdowns against four interceptions. His favorite target this season has been CeeDee Lamb, who has 33 receptions for 497 yards. Lamb has caught four touchdowns this year.

If Prescott is not ready to go this weekend, that could spell trouble for the Cowboys. The offense has been excellent this year, and Prescott has been a big part of that.

The Cowboys can breathe a slight sigh of relief if Prescott is out, however, as their defense should be able to hold the Vikings down. If Prescott does end up playing in the game, it will be a massive boost to the Cowboys’ chances.

Will the Vikings Move the Ball?

The Vikings currently sit at 3-3 on the year and have had an odd season thus far. They are lucky not to be 1-5 but are a few bounces away from being 5-1.

In their last game, they beat the Panthers in an overtime game, and the week before, they beat the Lions by just two points. They have struggled on the offensive end of the ball while they have been good on defense. This is a team that is going to perform as well as their defense plays.

They cannot get in a shootout and expect to win. Look for the Vikings to try and slow down the ball on the offensive side so that they can keep the Cowboys off the field.

Betting Analysis

  • Cowboys +3 (-110) / Moneyline: +140
  • Vikings -3 (-110) / Moneyline: -160
  • Spread: Over/Under 51.5 points

Both teams are coming off of a bye week and should be well-rested and ready to go. The pick here is going to be determined on if Dak Prescott plays or not.

If he does play hammer the Dallas Cowboys, if he doesn’t play, I think the Minnesota Vikings have the edge.
