The Buffalo Bills have a forecast 63% chance to win against The New York Jets with a spread of -2.0/2.0 and an over/under of 46.5. The Buffalo Bills are 0 – 0 against The New York Jets in the 2021-22 Season.

Sunday, November 14th Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets

After a surprising loss last week that tightened up the AFC East race, the 5-3 Buffalo Bills stay on the road as they face the 2-6 New York Jets in Week 10. Buffalo has a half-game lead on New England in the AFC East race while the Jets are searching for a second win in their last three games. The kickoff at MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands is set for 1:00 p.m. ET, and the game will air on FOX.

Buffalo is 65-56 all-time against their in-state rivals and 4-3 over the last three seasons. Buffalo has won their last three trips to MetLife Stadium, but the games between the teams since 2017 have been decided by an average of 4.3 points per game. The teams have not played yet this season, and Buffalo got a sweep last year with a 27-17 home win and an 18-10 road win.

Buffalo Looking to Bounce Back

Buffalo suffered a surprising loss last week in Jacksonville as they lost 9-6. They are 4-3-1 ATS this season, and the under is 5-3 in their eight games. They have bounced back nicely the last two years, going 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games after a loss.

Quarterback Josh Allen is an MVP candidate, and he has 2,236 yards on the season while completing 66 percent of his passes. Allen has 17 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He is second on the Bills with 319 rushing yards and tied for the team lead with three rushing touchdowns.

Devin Singletary leads Buffalo with 355 rushing yards and a 4.9 yard per carry average with one touchdown. Zack Moss has 235 yards with a 3.6 average and three rushing scores.

Allen has a ton of weapons, with Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders, and Dawson Knox all having at least three touchdown receptions. Diggs has 48 catches for 588 yards, while Sanders stretches the field at 17 yards per catch. Knox has five touchdowns on 21 catches as the top red-zone target, while Cole Beasley leads the team with 51 catches.

Jets Defense Hurting

The Jets gave up 45 points last week as they lost on Thursday night to the Indianapolis Colts by 15. They gave up 260 rushing yards to the Colts and 272 passing yards in a game that wasn’t nearly as close as the final score.

The Jets’ offense struggled this season with rookie first-rounder Zach Wilson before he was injured. Mike White took over and threw for 414 yards against Cincinnati but got hurt and was replaced by Josh Johnson against the Colts. White should be back under center against the Bills as Johnson returned to the practice squad with veteran Joe Flacco as the backup.

Rookie running back Michael Carter leads the team with 328 yards on the ground, plus three touchdowns. Ty Johnson has 137 yards and one touchdown as the Jets average 77 yards per game on the ground.

Corey Davis has missed two games with injury but leads all wide receivers with 24 catches for 349 yards and four touchdowns. Carter has 27 catches for 263 yards, while Keelan Cole has 16 for 257. Rookie Elijah Moore has 13 catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns in the last two games as he’s gained chemistry with White.

Safety Marcus Maye is out for the season after tearing his Achilles against the Colts. The Jets are dead last in the NFL in points allowed and yards allowed, even when their Pro Bowler was healthy.

Betting Analysis

Buffalo Bills -12 (-110). Money LIne -750
New York Jets +12 (-110). Money Line +525
Total Points: 47.5 Over -110, Under -110

Buffalo won their first two road games, including a landmark win in Kansas City, before losing the last two, at Tennessee and Jacksonville. After scoring at least 31 points in five straight games, the offense has just 32 points total the last two weeks. Facing the Jets’ porous defense is exactly what they need to get back on track before games against the Colts, Saints, and Patriots.
