Week 12 and the Saints Look Set for Another Victory

NFL week 12 and the Saints look set for another victory.

The NFL’s Week 11 was marked by the history-making 105-point, top-of-the-table battle won 54-51 by the LA Rams against the Kansas City Chiefs and the hammering handed out by the New Orleans Saints to reigning Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia Eagles.

Will there be more drama in Week 12? And who will feature this time?

You do get games where the winners and losers look pretty obvious heading into the match and it most often goes that way. But then you also get shock results that prompt you to throw your spread-bet out of the window.

One of the most predictable results should come out of tonight’s match-up between the Saints and the Atlanta Falcons, which, together with those between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions at midday and between the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys in mid-afternoon, will take up many TV viewing hours during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Saints look ready to take this one. They have nine wins and only one loss and, like the Rams and the Chiefs who both have a bye this week, are flying high right now while the Falcons, with just four wins as against 6 losses, are having a much harder time of it and that’s why according to Oddschecker.com, the points spread for this match is as much as +13.5.

Prognosis

Things don’t always go in the direction to which the stats and the bookmaker’s pre-game odds point.

The Tennessee Titans who are playing in the lone Monday night game this week, underlined this possibility in the past two weeks when, after stunning big match favorites New England Patriots with a 34-10 victory, they then crashed to 10-38 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts just a week later in a game in which all the stats and odds pointed to a very narrow victory for either team.

With the Rams and Chiefs resting this week and the Saints playing in a game where an ‘overs’ bet looks to have a much better chance than an ‘unders’ wager,  most of this week’s closest results are likely to come in the games between NFL stragglers.

One of these could between the San Francisco 49ers who have only won 2 games in 8 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-7), another between the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7) and the Buffalo Bills (3-7).

But here are all of this week’s NFL fixtures along with each team’s won-lost-tied record in brackets to help you decide on what and on who you’ll be betting on this week.
