Unibet, the Garden State’s newest online sportsbook, has signed a long-term sponsorship agreement with the NHL’s NJ Devils. The announcement of the new partnership came on the weekend, just days after Unibet went live in New Jersey. They disclosed no figure, but, described the sponsorship as ‘significant.’
Also, announced was that legendary goaltender Martin Brodeur had been appointed as Unibet’s brand ambassador. Brodeur kept goal for the Devils for 21 years and can lay claim to the sports highest number of wins.
So, in return for the sponsorship, Unibet will get a substantial in-arena and digital presence. Also, its customers will enjoy unmatched hospitality.
The international betting giant has sponsored some of the world’s most famous teams and players for over 20 years. They include the Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Valencia FCs, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and Henrik Lundqvist of NY Rangers.
New Jersey fans some of the most passionate globally
“NJ Devils fans are some of the most passionate and educated in the world,” said Brodeur. He was speaking in his capacity as Executive Vice President of Business Development of the Devils. “The sportsbook developed by Unibet offers dedicated Devils fans a really special way to engage with the game they love.”
In reply, Arnas Janickas, marketing head of Unibet USA, said, “So, we are incredibly excited over our partnership with New Jersey’s beloved Devils. We especially welcoming goaltending legend Martin Brodeur to our team.”
“Together with the Devils and Prudential Center, Unibet players will enjoy a greater entertainment and hospitality experience. We expect a long and successful partnership “
Unibet committed to supporting sports betting worldwide. It also “understands that the US is the fastest growing sports betting market in the world”.
