The Toronto Raptors don’t have too many bigger and more fired-up fans than Canadian hip hop artist Drake.
He has a habit of getting extremely verbal at times, either in praise of the Raptors or in decrying their opponents. So much so, in fact, the NBA had asked the Raptors to get him to tone down his courtside behavior
You’d be wrong, though, if you thought he was the Raptors’ happiest fan when they won their first NBA Crown last week.
His father, Dennis Graham, claimed that he was even happier – and with good reason,
“I am the happiest guy in the world,” Graham told a group of media men coming away from the critical 6th game. It gave the Raptors a 4-2 final series win over defending champions, the LA Warriors.
“I bet $100,000 on the game and I won $300,000. How’s that!!!”
“Drake’s dad is rich!!! – Okay, then, richer; pimp hats and chains for everybody!!!” In celebration, he was wearing an outlandish pair of Elton John type spectacles. He was also sporting a beautiful woman on each arm.
During the same impromptu media interview, he advised the Raptors to turn down an invitation to visit Donald Trump. As a Canadian team, they should instead meet with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“In any case,” he added, “Justin Trudeau is a much classier guy.”
