Burrow had slow start at Ohio

After redshirting his first year at Ohio State in 2015, Burrow spent the next two as a backup QB to J. T. Barrett.

During these years he played in 10 games, completing 29 of 39 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns.

Then, realizing that Dwayne Haskins would be named as the next starting quarterback at Ohio State, he transferred to Louisiana State University (LSU) on May 20, 2018.

He had graduated from Ohio State in three years with a degree in consumer and family financial services, and was thus immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.

Earlier in the season, the struggling NFL teams were reported to be “tanking for Tua”.

However Alabama quarterback Tuo Tagovailoa’s subsequent hip injury and Burrow’s end of season heroics have changed all that.

From No 3, Burrow is now the odds-on favourite to be named the No 1 Draft Pick.
