Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists that star duo, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, will not be leaving the club and Bookmakers are certainly believe him.
Both players are out-of-contract in the summer, so the January window is the final chance to sell either player for cash – as they will be available on free transfers come the summer.
But despite interest in both players, Wenger is not planning to let either leave and Bookmakers do not see either player leaving in the next transfer window.
“Both players were already odds on, but Arsene Wenger’s latest comments have seen the odds cut further,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“Sanchez is now 1/10 and Ozil is 1/25 – that means the Bookies believe it is over 90% probability that Arsenal will be keeping the pair, which is pretty strong, by any standards.
“Indeed any value in this market would be around departures, you can get around 3/1 on both to depart.”
January transfer odds:
Mesut Ozil to stay with Arsenal – 1/25
Alexis Sanchez to stay with Arsenal – 1/10
Sanchez & Ozil both leave in January – 3/1
