Nothing gets NFL fans betting like Super Bowl Props, and for Super Bowl LV on Sunday, there are over a thousand different options at various betting sites. Sure, you can wager on Chiefs -3, Bucs +3, over/under 56.5 points, or even the money line (Bucs +143, Chiefs -160). But if you want to have a little more fun at your socially distanced Super Bowl gatherings this year, take a look at some of these player props or novelty props to help add to the intrigue and excitement.
Player Props – Quarterbacks
The last time these teams met in November, both quarterbacks lit the field up. Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to an early lead, and he finished with an explosive 462 passing yards and three touchdown scores while Tom Brady efficiently threw for 345 yards and three touchdowns. Mahomes is -112 to throw for over 325.5 yards in Super Bowl LV, while Brady is -112 to throw for over 295.5 yards.
Touchdown wise Mahomes is -150 for over 2.5 touchdowns and +185 for over 3.5 scores. Mahomes threw two touchdown passes in last year’s Super Bowl, and he has 17 TD passes in seven career playoff games. Brady, who has 18 touchdown passes in his previous nine Super Bowl appearances, is +130 to throw over 2.5 in Super Bowl LV. He is +370 to go over 3.5 touchdowns, a feat he only accomplished in Super Bowl XLIX against Seattle.
Brady broke Kurt Warner’s single-game Super Bowl passing record when he threw for 466 in the Super Bowl LI comeback against Atlanta. You can bet that either quarterback will throw for at least 500 yards at +1600.
Player Props Touchdowns
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill led the Chiefs with an astounding 15 regular-season touchdown receptions this season, and he is -175 to score anytime on Sunday, +600 to score the game’s first touchdown. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce scored a healthy 11 times this season, and he has the same odds as Hill, -175 anytime and +600 first TD. Running Back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is +150 anytime and +1200 first TD while Mahomes is +250 anytime and +1800 first TD.
Tampa Bay wideout Mike Evans, who had 13 regular-season scores, has the Bucs best odds in both categories at +110 anytime and +1000 first score. Running back Leonard Fournette is next in line both at +120 and +1050, while wideout Chris Godwin is in the mix at +150 and +1300.
Novelty Props (At Draftkings unless otherwise noted)
Consider starting off the game with a bet, or even two of them. Both sides are -103 in the coin flip though tails has been the correct call in two straight Super Bowls as well as six of the last seven. In Super Bowl history, tails leads heads 29-25. You can also wager on which team will win the coin toss with both teams listed at -105.
Will either team successfully recover an onside kick? Yes, nets you +1700.
Will any ruling be overturned by a coach’s challenge? Yes is +115, No -143.
What color Gatorade will be poured on the winning coach? Pointsbet says Orange is the favorite at +125, followed by Red at +250. Yellow/Green is +400 followed by Clear at +700, Purple at +800, and Blue at +900
