Last week, Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers became the fastest quarterback to reach the 400-touchdown mark — a milestone only six others have reached in their careers. He has the opportunity to add to that impressive number on Sunday when the Packers take on the host Detroit Lions.
Both teams have some injuries that are likely to impact the outcome of the game. The Packers have guard Simon Stepaniak and tight end Jace Sternberger listed as out. They also have wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, wide receiver Malik Taylor, and safety Darnell Savage listed as questionable.
On the other sideline, the Detroit Lions have offensive tackle Tyrell Crosby and cornerback Jeff Okudah listed as out. They also have running back D’Andre Swift, quarterback Matthew Stafford, and defensive tackle John Penisini listed as questionable. It’ll be interesting to see how those injuries affect their chances.
Will the Packers win their 10th game of the season?
The Packers are 9-3 this season and currently sit atop the NFC North. Two of their losses have come on the road this season, but they’ve also won their other four away from home.
They’re matching up against a team that has the ability to beat any team in the NFL, but only on select given nights.
The good news is the Packers have Rodgers, one of the league’s greatest quarterbacks of all-time. He has 3,395 yards, 36 touchdowns, and four interceptions this season.
Aaron Jones has helped balance out the Packers’ offense with 754 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
Can the Lions shake their struggles at home?
The Lions find themselves in a much darker place than Green Bay. They’re currently 5-7 and sit in last place in the NFC North.
The Lions don’t have much to play for at this point, which is starting to become a consistent reality for this team. We’ll see if they can pull out the miracle against a difficult team on Sunday.
Stafford, who will likely start despite his questionable status, is having a nice season. He has 3,278 yards, 21 touchdowns, and nine interceptions but doesn’t have the help he needs around him.
Detroit’s defense is one of the worst in the NFL, as it allows over 400 yards per game.

The Packers are on a two-game winning streak and are outscoring their opponents 71-41 during that stretch. They’ve also won four of their last five games, with their one loss during that span coming in overtime against the Indianapolis Colts.
Meanwhile, the Lions are fresh off a victory against the Chicago Bears. It was a much-needed win after being outscored 61-25 in the two games prior.
They’re going to have a difficult time against the Packers, but they’re one of those teams that can kick it into high gear at any point.
