LAS VEGAS RAIDERS AT KANSAS CITY CHIEFS BETTING PREVIEW

The Las Vegas Raiders visit the Kansas City Chiefs in NFL week 5 action

On Sunday at 1 pm ET, the Las Vegas Raiders will play the Kansas City Chiefs in a matchup of two AFC West opponents.

The Raiders are on a bit of a losing streak after winning their first two games. They beat the Panthers and Saints to start the season but have fallen to the Patriots and Bills in the last two.

Kansas City looks like they will be competing for a Super Bowl again this year. They are 4-0, with their only scare coming against the Chargers in Week 2. Other than that, it has been smooth sailing for the reigning champs.

Gruden Leads Raiders

Head coach Jon Gruden will need to find a way to slow down Patrick Mahomes and KC’s incredible offense. The scary thing about the Chiefs this year is that while the offense is great as usual, the Kansas City defense has also turned into one of the best in the league.

Derek Carr is off to a great start to the 2020 season for Las Vegas, and has yet to throw an interception. He has 1095 yards and eight touchdowns through four games.

Josh Jacobs has also been a beast in the backfield for the Raiders. He has 300 yards and three touchdowns. Tight-end Darren Waller has proven to be a late-round steal for fantasy football owners, putting up 247 yards this season with a touchdown.

Mahomes Still Shocking

Patrick Mahomes, is still showing fans why he is one of the best signal callers in the league. He has 1,134 yards this season, with eleven touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is having a successful rookie campaign for Kansas City. He was drafted in the perfect spot and has been able to add a great running game to this explosive Chiefs offense.

Mahomes is hard to get down, and has guys like Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill that are great at making plays.

The leader on the defensive side of the ball is Tyrann Mathieu.

“Competing against our offense all training camp, a lot of these guys have been getting work against the best offensive players in the league,” Mathieu said. “I just want those guys to stay motivated and continue to get better and stay hungry.”

Prediction

The Kansas City Chiefs are the 11.5-point favorites on Sunday. The over/under is set at 55.5.

The game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium, which is one of the places in the NFL that some fans are still allowed.

I think the Raiders are going to have a chance at slowing down this offense. Not sure if Las Vegas can get the win, but I believe they will cover the spread.

I’m taking the Raiders at +11.5. Jon Gruden has a good game plan to limit this offense.

The over/under is also set fairly high. I don’t believe that much scoring will occur during this game. I’m predicting it will be similar to the Chargers matchup with the Chiefs earlier this season.

I’m also going to be taking the under.
