Week 7 of the XFL season sees several teams trying to find consistency. The Roughnecks have lost two straight after surging to the top of the South Division after winning four straight. The D.C. Defenders are still undefeated and are cruising toward clinching a spot in the playoffs.

Seattle Sea Dragons (-4.5) at Arlington Renegades

The Sea Dragons are in a tie for second place in the North Division and must keep winning games to keep up with the St. Louis Battlehawks. After losing two games in difficult fashion to start the season, Seattle has found its groove and captured four consecutive victories by 10 points or less.

The Sea Dragons didn’t look perfect against Orlando last week but were able to squeak out a win. Seattle ranks first in the league in both yards and passing yards per game. Arlington is a tough defensive team that can’t score. The Renegades are coming off back-to-back defensive slugfests against San Antonio. Arlington ranks last in the league by scoring 13 points per game.

Seattle will grab another win by a touchdown.

San Antonio Brahmas (+3.5) at Vegas Vipers

The Brahmas are coming off two brutal defensive games against Arlington. San Antonio is now facing off against the worst team in the North Division and is one game behind Arlington for second place. The Brahmas have the top-scoring defense in the league, only allowing teams to score 14.7 points per game.

San Antonio’s problem is that it doesn’t do much scoring itself. That’s why despite having a 2-4 record, the Brahmas have outscored their opponents by one point this season. Vegas has struggled mightily on defense. The Vipers rank seventh in the league defensively by allowing 27.2 points per game. San Antonio will pick up a big win as underdogs.

D.C. Defenders at Orlando Guardians Over 45.5

The Guardians’ offense put up 19 points last week against Seattle but will have to contend with the pressure of keeping up with a strong D.C. team. Orlando hasn’t had an easy time figuring out ways to move the football. The Guardians, who are the only winless team in the league, have only scored more than 20 points once.

D.C. has scored 28 or more points in the past four games. The Defenders will keep their momentum up and will push this game over the total.

St. Louis Battlehawks at Houston Roughnecks (-2.5)

The Roughnecks have lost two straight games and need to regain their mojo if they hope to keep their division title. Houston’s defense has let them down recently. The Roughnecks conceded 37 points in a loss last week.

St. Louis had a dominating win over Vegas last week and has been playing good football this season. The Battlehawks won’t benefit of their strong home-field advantage this week and will have a hard time taking down Houston. The Roughnecks will grab a one-score victory.
