XFL teams have been out of synch in the first two weeks of action. The league is still in the process of redefining itself, and the Week 3 lineup and betting odds will help determine what happens next.
There will be one game on Saturday, with three coming on Sunday. The XFL is determined to overcome its struggles and expects teams to put on good shows this weekend.
Seattle Sea Dragons Meet The Vegas Vipers
The Seattle Sea Dragons have done well so far this season, but it could be argued that they faced inferior teams. Despite strong performances in each of the two games, they also suffered at times. They’ve given up the ball five times already this season. The Seattle offense will be hard to beat once it learns how to protect the ball.
In Week 1, the Vegas Vipers could only muster 25 yards. They improved in Week 2, picking up 90 yards on the ground but still haven’t developed an aerial attack. The offense is still in development mode, although the defense is showing signs of life.
The Sea Dragons have a chance to show off in Week 3. As long as they hold onto the ball, they can overcome the Vipers.
St. Louis BattleHawks Challenge the D.C. Defenders
It is quite possible that the St. Louis BattleHawks have improved the most since Week 1 of the XFL. A.J. McCarron and his receivers seem to be getting along better on the offensive side. In Week 1, the offense didn’t click, but in Week 2, it got its running game going, picking up 108 yards on 26 carries.
This week will be a big test for them against a tough D.C. Defenders side. The Defenders picked up 229 yards rushing last week on 42 carries, and that level of success is rare so far in the league.
These two teams remain undefeated so far this season. However, this game goes to the Defenders, so the BattleHawks will lose a spot.
Orlando Guardians Take On The Arlington Renegades
The Orlando Guardians are struggling in the XFL this season. The defense has given up more than 30 points per game while not putting up anything in return. Furthermore, they don’t seem to be able to pinpoint the fault in time. The offense only averages 4.7 yards per carry.
The Arlington Renegades showed improvement across the first two weeks of the season. However, last week, it also had a bad defense facing the Houston Roughnecks. As Drew Plitt prepares to lead the offense down the stretch of the game against a defense that has allowed four touchdowns per game, the Renegades will take the victory.
San Antonio Brahmas Strike At The Houston Roughnecks
In Week 2 of the XFL season, the San Antonio Brahmas got back on track after a tough loss in Week 1. The offense picked up over 100 yards against the Guardians as it continued to find the end zone. However, the Houston Roughnecks will offer a stronger defense. It has only allowed 13 points a game so far, and Houston will rely heavily on its defense on Sunday.
San Antonio has been able to move the ball when it counts but has also given it up more than it should. So far, the Brahmas have five turnovers, which have proven costly.
The Roughnecks and Brahmas will give each other a lot of difficulty, but Houston will emerge with the win.
