FANDUEL TO GET TELECAST TIME ON DEVILS, KNICKS

MSG Networks’ regional broadcasts involving New York Knicks and New Jersey Devils will soon feature FanDuel ads, odds, and information.

This is the result of a new partnership the high-flying New Jersey sportsbook has negotiated with MSG.

The partnership, which makes FanDuel the official sports-betting partner of MSG Networks, will entitle the latter to the following during telecasts:

  • A mix of in-game and halftime integrations.
  • Branded content and commercial spots.
  • Features to be aired during pre- and post-game programs.
  • Live up-dates and updated odds on the ticker during intermissions.

MSG Networks together with sister channel MSG Plus and the Knicks themselves are owned by the Madison Square Garden Company. MSG also runs a series of local radio stations.

It serves New York, parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Presently, New Jersey and Pennsylvania both offer legal online and in-house casino and race-track sports betting. New York allows casino sports wagering but has not yet legalized online betting, but Connecticut allows no betting at all.

MSG’s ‘Inside Lines’ to air betting before Knicks games

MSG Networks has recently launched ‘Inside the Lines’ a new, five-minute pre-game show that will air before every Knicks game. It will include a slot on NBA and Knicks betting.

Meantime, a one-minute, NHL-focused show, ‘Line to Line’ will precede every Devils game. It’ll highlight betting lines and odds, both for the NHL in general and for the Devils game of the night.

DraftKings Sportsbook review by NJ SportsBook Review

FanDuel and sports-betting will also feature on MSG Networks’ social channels and on its ‘MSG GO’, a live-streaming and video-on-demand platform.

When sports-betting prohibition ended in May 2018, FanDuel along with rival daily fantasy sports giant DraftKings was well set. It already had multitudes of DFS fans, and they needed little persuasion to get into sports betting.

DraftKings, the first NJ online sportsbook out of its blocks, initially went to the front. However, by the end of 2018 FanDuel was the NJ market leader – and by some distance.

It still is. But with 17 online sportsbooks now operating in New Jersey, most with strong international connections, it can’t afford to be complacent.

Hence its latest move to keep its profile high in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York market places.
