New Jersey’s sportsbooks in future will be able to offer a wider variety of live baseball bets than ever before.
This has been made possible by the MLB’s announcement that they have signed-up sports content provider Perform as a data distributor.
Perform will be tasked with supplying sportsbooks throughout the US with as much reliable, real-time baseball data as possible.
Andrew Ashenden, Perform’s Chief Commercial Officer, said his company was “more than pleased” by the MLB’s move.
“We’re delighted to be supplying the MLB’s fast data feed to USA’s sportsbooks and odds providers,” he said.
“It will help betting operators to create a host of exciting new wagers.”
From MLB’s point of view, providing faster and improved data to the sportsbooks will greatly benefit football fans.
Said Kenny Gersh, the MLB’s EVP for Gaming & New Ventures: “It’s an important development for us to partner with Perform who will be our second data distributor in the US.
“Multiple distributors of our rich, reliable, low latency data will help drive competition and innovation in the sports betting landscape. It will provide MLB fans with the best gaming experiences possible.”
The official MLB real-time betting data feed will add a new arrow to Perform’s highly respected international bow. It already collects and distributes official ultrafast data from major sports leagues all around the world.
