After a week in which eight Top 25 teams went down, the schedule amps up again this weekend with five more Top 25 matchups in college football. Let’s take a look at the top five games to bet for this weekend’s action.

Penn State -5

It was a bad weekend for both the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Now they face off this Saturday in Happy Valley with PSU at -5.

Look for the No. 16 Nittany Lions to bounce back and get back in the win column as they take out their frustrations from the Michigan loss on Minnesota.

Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan left the game against Illinois on Saturday with an injury, and his status is unknown. Minnesota is a run-heavy offense, but without Morgan, the Lions can stack the box and take away the Gophers’ strength.

Oklahoma State +6.5

Oklahoma had control of their destiny in their hands last week and blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead at TCU. If they want to stay in contention for the Big 12 title game, they will have to bounce back quickly as they host #20 Texas this weekend.

The Longhorns looked like world beaters against Oklahoma two weeks ago but struggled to put away Iowa State at home last week, winning by three.

Having Quinn Ewers back is a boost, and Bijan Robinson is a handful and more for any defense to handle. The Cowboys can stay with Texas points-wise, and a touchdown at home is too much for a top-11 team to give up.

TCU -3.5

Could this be a letdown game for the Horned Frogs? Sure, but Kansas State is also a top-20 team and the only other unbeaten team in conference play. TCU needs this win to stay in the driver’s seat for a Big 12 Title Game appearance.

This contest is a clash of offense vs. defense. TCU is averaging more than 45 points per game, while Kansas State is allowing just 14.3 points per contest.

The Wildcats allowed more than seven yards per play in their win at Oklahoma; if they give TCU big plays like that to Quentin Johnson, this one will be a blowout.

Clemson -13.5

We have been waiting to see if this Syracuse team is for real, and the answer comes on Saturday. The #14 Orange are 6-0 as they head to #5 Clemson to face the 7-0 Tigers. The oddsmakers expect a blowout with Clemson at -13.5.

Syracuse has allowed just 13 points per game this season but now faces a Clemson team averaging just under 40 ppg. Syracuse allowed 29 to Purdue and 20 to Virginia; they will need a better effort against the Tigers’ offense.

Don’t expect the Orange to be able to go score-for-score with the Tigers, who have scored at least 30 in every game this season.

Ole Miss +1.5

LSU still didn’t get the night game they crave at Death Valley but will instead host #7 Ole Miss in the CBS nationally televised window at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Tigers are coming off a great performance at Florida, but the last time they played at home was a 40-13 loss to Tennessee. If they can’t get the run game going, this could turn into a long afternoon for the Tigers.

LSU gave up over 200 yards on the ground to Florida last week. Meanwhile, Ole Miss ran for 448 yards in a 48-34 win over Auburn.

They had three different players top the 100-yard mark and went for 6.5 yards per carry. The week before, Jaxson Dart threw for 448 yards at Vanderbilt, showing the Rebels can score and win in multiple ways.
