Gambling and sports betting like so many other things in life can become an addiction. If you are a troubled gambler you can apply to the DGE for self-exclusion from all gambling activities.
To do this, click on the web address supplied by the New Jersey DGE at the bottom of this page. It will provide you with a registration form enabling you to ‘opt out’ from all online gambling activities in NJ.
It will first ask you to read a long passage of instructions and explanations before you sign anything.
By taking this action, you’re requesting that all your Internet gambling activities cease for the time you select.
Gamers and sports bettors should understand that they are not only closing their account with one provider. They are also opting out of all Internet-related gambling in New Jersey.
In addition to this online service, gamblers can also exclude themselves from brick and mortar gambling. To do this, however, they should visit one of the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s offices or a New Jersey racetrack.
