The Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City has just opened New Jersey’s 13th online sportsbook.
It went live this week offering online betting via a desktop or on Android and iOS mobile devices
Most NJ’s sportsbooks including market leaders FanDuel and DraftKings and others like Sugarhouse and BetStars are already six months old.

Golden Nugget is, therefore, a late starter in comparison, but the Casino makes up for it. Their sports menu is as impressive as the best of its competitors.
Thomas Winter, Golden Nugget’s SVP and General Manager, underlined this fact in the Casino’s press release.

“We are very pleased to bring sports betting to our online and mobile casino patrons,” he said. “We have worked hard with our partners Scientific Games and SB Tech to bring New Jersey the best sportsbook available.”
Golden Nugget has integrated its long-established Gold, black and red Casino interface with their new sportsbook. A mere click on ‘Sport’ or ‘Casino’ on their home page will take you to the one you want.
On the Sports front page you’ll find a betting menu with almost every sport that matters, be it an American specialty or international. All the big leagues and Championships are also there except the NBA – and that’s a big exception.
This is due to Golden Nugget’s affiliation with the NBA’s Houston Rockets, is the explanation given on site. “Current New Jersey regulations prohibit us from offering NBA bets at this time,” a statement reads.
In its place, you’ll find betting on Euroleague and FIBA World Cup basketball.
Golden Lines
You’ll also find the words ‘Golden Lines’ on their betting menu. This takes you to a list of future bets on US football, baseball, tennis, golf and things like the Oscars.
Gaming observers, meanwhile, are expecting Golden Nugget to have a strong impact on Casino online betting. It has, after all, been Atlantic City’s online casino market leaders for some time.
Its $12.2 million in Casino revenue in January nearly double the $6.5 million of its nearest competitor Resorts.
Resorts Casino, meanwhile via DraftKings and BetStars, has been the front-running Casino in online sports betting. It betting revenues in January totaled $6.9 million.
