The Week 3 Monday Night Football game is a NFC East showdown as the New York Giants host the Dallas Cowboys on ESPN. The Giants are off to a surprising 2-0 start, and they are -1 against the 1-1 Cowboys. The total points in the game is set at 39 points while the Giants are -115 on the money line and the Cowboys are -105.

The Giants are tied for first in the division with the Philadelphia Eagles, while the Washington Commanders are 0-2. Let’s take a look at the top three bets to make in the Monday Night game.

Daniel Jones Sacked

So far this season, Daniel Jones has taken care of the football and led the Giants to a 2-0 start. He has won his last four starts at MetLife Stadium with four touchdowns and zero interceptions. Jones didn’t start at home against the Cowboys last year, but he had a 106.9 rating against Dallas on Jan. 3, 2021, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Even with his good run, the Giants are still 26th in passing yards per attempt and third from the bottom in the NFL in sacks allowed. The line is likely to struggle against the Cowboys’ pass rush, meaning Jones could be on the move throughout Monday’s game.

The Giants have allowed ten sacks already this season, and the Cowboys are coming off a six-sack game against the Bengals. Look for the Cowboys to get at least three sacks in the game at -120.

Cooper Rush Over 201.5 Yards Passing

Cooper Rush stepped up big time for the Cowboys in the win last week over the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals. With Dak Prescott out injured, Rush had 235 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals while posting a 95.5 rating. He also has led game-winning drives in each of his two professional starts.

Rush won’t shy away from the spotlight as he had a primetime win last year against the Minnesota Vikings. He threw for 235 yards against the Bengals and 325 yards last year against the Vikings. In the two Cowboys/Giants games last year, Prescott threw for over 500 yards as Dallas won both games.

Look for Dallas to keep the same game plan and go after the Giants’ secondary. Rush has had multiple weeks of practice with the first team, and despite injuries to the passing weapons, he should be able to top his number on Monday. Bet on Rush over 201.5 passing yards at -110.

First Half Under

Both of these teams have struggled in the first half so far this season, and we should see a slow-moving game early as they both attempt to establish the run game. The first half total is set at 19.5 points and the under -105.

The Giants were shutout in the first half in the opener and scored just six points in the first half in last week’s win over Carolina. Meanwhile, Dallas had three points in the loss to Tampa Bay and just 20 points last week against the Bengals.

The Dallas defense is the best unit on the field for these two teams and should dictate play. Look for a low-scoring game overall, especially early, and take the under 19.5 first-half points at -105.
