BUFFALO BILLS AT TENNESSEE TITANS BETTING PREVIEW

Week 6 of the NFL season ends with two of last year’s playoff teams who both have leads in their divisions in 2021. The 4-1 Buffalo Bills are looking for a fifth straight win as they head south to face the 3-2 Tennessee Titans. The Monday Night game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET at Nissan Field in Nashville, and it airs on ESPN.

These teams met last year in a unique Tuesday night game after Tennessee had a COVID outbreak. The Titans won that game 42-16, and Derrick Henry went viral for a massive stiff arm of then Bills cornerback Josh Norman. Since the Titans moved to Nashville, they lead the series 8-4, including the Music City Miracle in 2000.

Josh Allen Taking the Next Step

This is the Bills’ second straight Nationally televised road game after they routed the Kansas City Chiefs 38-20 last week. Buffalo leads the NFL in scoring offense while also having the top-ranked defense in the league. In the four wins, the Bills defense has forced 15 turnovers, racked up 12 sacks, and scored a touchdown.

Allen threw for 315 yards to beat the Chiefs last week, and he has completed 62 percent of his passes this season. Allen has 11 touchdowns in the four-game win streak with just two interceptions, and he’s also run for two scores. Allen is now the betting favorite to win the MVP award at +450.

Devin Singletary leads the Bills run game with 284 yards and a touchdown, while Zack Moss has 184 yards and three scores. Allen has contributed 188 yards on the ground, and Buffalo averages 4.5 yards per carry.

Stefon Diggs leads Buffalo with 28 catches and 374 yards, while tight end Dawson Knox has five touchdowns. Emmanuel Sanders has four touchdowns to go with 322 yards and a 16.9 average.

Micah Hyde has three of Buffalo’s nine interceptions on the season as seven different players have picked off a pass. Ten different Bills have contributed at least one sack, and the defense will have its hands full with the Titans’ run game.

Henry Runs the Titans Offense

The Titans’ offense leads the NFL in rushing thanks to Derrick Henry, who has gone over 100 yards in four straight games. That streak ties his career-high, and 100 yards on Monday will tie Eddie George’s team record from 1998.

Ryan Tannehill has completed 64 percent of his passes this season for 1,251 yards and six touchdowns. He has been sacked 200 times and thrown three interceptions.

Henry has 640 yards with seven touchdowns, and he averages 4.5 yards per carry. He leads the NFL in carries, yards, and rushing touchdowns while also catching 14 passes for 125 yards. Tannehill is the second-leading rusher with 130 yards and a touchdown.

AJ Brown is doubtful for Monday’s game which hurts the Titans’ pass attack. Newcomer Julio Jones has 12 catches for 204 yards but is yet to find the end zone in 2021. Five players have touchdown catches, and running back Jeremy McNichols leads the team with 17 catches.

Betting Analysis

  • Buffalo Bills -6 (-110) Money line -275
  • Tennessee Titans +6 (-110). Money line +220
  • Total Points 53 Over -105, Under -115

The way the Bills are playing on both sides of the ball right now, they are tough to bet against. Tennessee has been able to run the ball at will in the last four games, but the passing game will suffer without Brown. Buffalo’s defense is opportunistic, and they should get a chance at a couple turnovers and sacks on Monday.

Betting Pick: Buffalo -6 (-110)
